Just bought a red auto 1989 tt reg B3 WLD, got it off ebay( real spur of the moment thing, saw it with 3 mins left to run lol) as i liked the look of it and i have a broken leg, ie Auto lol, but as it turns out the guy i got it off had only just bought it then sold it straight away? not sure if i trust him but car seems ok so far, just thought one of you guys might know it or even owned it, cheers Gavo

seems to be a tweed interior in the pic...maybe had leather seats out of sight...was being advertised as full leather...pity you couldnt view it first...still if you aint happy with the seller (now you've won) when you do go round walk away if its not advertised correctly dont chance it... to hell with neg feedback

I actualy have it now, picked it up straight away, car is great to drive like, but only 2 months mot even tho 12 advertised, me own fault i never checked and he is ignoring my calls etc

I doubt it would have belonged to any subscribed member on here, otherwise he would have been told to swap the wheels straight away :lol:

 

Now you have it take the wheels off and put the left side on the right as they are round the wrong way form what I can see in the picture.

i would certainly put a complaint in if it was advertised with 12 months mot. in fact, hes got a mobile number on there. take it in turns ringing him all night asking where the other 10 months are. :D

you might have got a good one, just have a check around the suspension, joints etc... not sure about the mot thing, id not be to happy if it were me, seeing as the guy is not returning your calls, i hope theres nothing else wrong with it except the mot expiry time, anyways enjoy the car, they are cracking motors when their right. I got mine for cheap actually less then you paid mines a 1990 tt, the engine is well sound on mine, the only thing that needed attention was the front suspension which is now almost completely repalced. I give you a month before you get the zed bug and start robbin childrens dinner money to put into upgrades. its an expensive habit. but i thin well worth it, having not had my zed that long and it being the first, i'm completely hooked, dont hardly see these on the road now, infact sinse i had mine havent seen one. well worth looking after these cars.

Looks good in those pics. Is there any chance he MOT'd it early for 12 mnths but forgot to put the paperwork in with the receipts and stuff? Are people really that stupid/cheeky to advertise 12 mnths when they know it only has 2?

Well it all seemed above board and the car is faultless to drive, other than near limit tyres all round, usual spoiler (cracked), bumpers need painted, and rip on drivers leather seat, the rest of it is brill, ice cold air con, no brake judder, box working good, boosts well, centre prop good and best of all no dreaded smoke?? and i got stuck in bad traffic on way back from getting it, moved about a mile in 45 mins on tickover in the heat and nothing, and i was watching for it with baited breath!! feels tight and smooth enough to believe the miles even, so does have lots of plus points, and i can make my way round sorting these other bits bit by bit till its right, but i only have green slip and mot till sept, i spoke to him briefly and he said he will sort it out when he gets home tonight, im still waiting!!! i will give him a week before i kick off!!!!!
