Well I had difficulty seeing the road on a night. Now I know why.

Just taken the headlights apart to clean and also to fit my HID kit from Dan at DTA.

Could not believe the build up of dirt.

Also HID fitment for those interested.

It has taken me 4 hours and all I have done is take headlights off, clean one of them fit it back as well as installation of both HID units.

Cant wait to do the other one :wack: :headvswal

Thanks

Paul

what method did you use to separate the mastic bud and what did you use to re-mastic

Hair dryer (not mine :nono: ) and just warmed it back up to let the old mastic reattach itself as per this guide: http://www.aus300zx.com/tech/headlight_disassembly/headlight_disassembly.htm

Just make sure you heat it steadily and evenly or it could crack , i used an electric blow heater and warmed the whole glass in one go , also use a wide bladed paint scraper to prise the glass up so it won,t chip the edges . HTH
