can anyone tell me if the speedo and lieage are worked by cable or electrically. speedo works fine but the miles i am covering stop and start , i reset when refuling but itcab go 5 miles then stop then start then stop so i cant see what miles i am doin. being a thirsty little number anyway .

or is it just the head that gone kaput

Im quite sure its electronic :)

electronic........speed sensor in gearbox is attached by wires, no cables.

 

Sounds like the actual clocks/dials or the cable into the back of them isn't working properly.

The odometer is electronic, run from a signal off the speedo.

It's very common for them to stick. Usually because of crap on the mechanism (they're not sealed) or sometimes the actual stepper motor fails, like mine did.
