the car makes a whistling sound when the turbo kicks in, the car still boosts fine and their isnt a lack of power, just suddenly happened this morning

is their any tell tale signs if its an acutal turbo or a boost leak

i am defo not loosing any power, when on the motorway doing high speeds i hear the whine alot louder and their a sort of spluttering noise

First of all carry out a boost leak check then go from there!

well im gonna make one and get it tested on monday, if its a boost leak, i gather i will hear the air coming out of a pipe?

ive been reading alot of posts and i am undecided whether its a leak or a knackered turbo

the car still seems to boost fine however the aftermarket gauge is quite inconsistent now

one min its boosting to like 10psi the next 6psi
