been hunting for insurance and thought it'd leave my findings...

Me: 33, Live in Lincolnshire, No Points or claims etc

Car: Import 300ZX TT Auto (totally std)

NCB: none to carry with the car, since have 2 other cars with NCB's so looked for 5 year mirroring onto new policy....

Cover: wanted something to give me limited miles (5K) but to include Business class use and the wife, didn't mind if FC or TPFT

a-plan £314, put needed CAT1 alarm certification (which i don't have)

Bell £360

sureterm £483

footman james - 1500

Adrian Flux - not interested

Warwick Davis - 545.31

performance factory - 900

Sky - pending (keen to talk but never came back to me)

Livingstones - (never bothered coming back to me)

Carol Nash - £420

I went for Bell, since they insure one of my other cars that has 5 yrs NCB and where happy to mirror 5 years onto the new policy, didn't need proof of my alarm. Its called a flexi policy since i dropped off the legal cover etc etc so its a bare bones TPFT policy, but its all i need and i get Business Class use etc. and its NOT a classic car policy so i will accumilate NCB and will carry those with this car when policy ends.

Me's a happy boy, just need to get the new tyres and MOT then all sorted :hyper:

Yeah, i couldn't belive the snotty attitude of the guy on the end of the phone, i was all set for hanging up on them, one of the most unprofessional customer services i've come accross in a long time.

I'm sorry you have all had a bad experience with us here at Adrian Flux. I'm shocked we couldn't offer doxtoby a price at least. Any further complaints you would like me to look into, do not hesitate to contact me.

Dan

I have a good deal with Footman's a classic group vehicle policy unlimited mileage. around £ 350ish

67 Tri 2000, 1999 Maestro, 91 SWB TT.

Also been very happy with AON in the past.

Its a pretty poor show being your company is allied with this club and you wont even insure the cars, I had the same attitude adn you where the 1st company I rang, I wont bother again. I went with Heritage, thier customer service is spot on.

hi Dan, i assume u record all phone conversations, i'd really recommend u go back to some of these, since the impact one or two bad experiences are having on the image of your service can be seen by the number of people reading this thread alone.

i'd have been happy to be told u couldn't insure me, but its how i was spoken to and the phone manner that i was unhappy with.

Interesting ... I just renewed my policy via Adrian Flux yesterday afternoon!

JDM Z32 Twin Turbo with declared modifications - no problem at all. Had a great quote as well - beat my renewal (with Zurich Premier) by about £50 as well.

Don't know what happened with your quote but I've been pretty happy with Adrian Flux.

By all means I can listen to these calls and make sure the people involved are spoken to. If you PM me the date and time and the number you called from I can trace these calls and listen to them. We cannot guarantee to insure everyone's car because we are the forum sponsor. All that means is that you will get up to 15% discount for being a member. We may not be competitive for some people this year, but give us a try come renewal.

Dan

i got a quote of Adrian Flux and it was superb , however my insurance had auto renewed by Liverpool Victoria when i got home from Kazakhstan so i didnt change over

but i will be next year for sure . i had no problem with adrian flux customer care or advice lines at all , maybe its a new emplyee or a cheesed off one ? anyway i dont belive in tarring everybody at A Flux with the same brush and im sure Dan will sort it out if ther are any real grievenacies

Steve

You could well be right Steve. But there are a lot of us now that seem to be getting Mr Meldrew on the other end.

To be told " we dont insure these cars" well, thats not correct is it.
