Photos ASAP! I have a soft sport for American Muscle cars...as one of my choices before getting the Z was a Gen 4 Z28 Camaro!

I'd swap the below example for mine with out a moment's hesitation.

Clarkson's one was a Gen 3 IrocZ

They look pretty cool. Prefered the Cabrio though, like this. Although prefer the 17" Iroc rims compared to these aftermarket numbers.

These are the 17" Iroc wheels that would look better than the above. Rare as hen's teeth too.

Arrrrrrrrr, found it. This is the one fitted with the above rims. This was the car that got me into the Iroc fan scene. This is simply stunning...

now what the point of a 400+ car that cant stop or go round bends.

With upgraded brakes and suspension. You could say the same about the Z. Stock Z brakes aren't up to much and nor is the 17 year old suspension. I've driven a Camaro with uprated springs and shocks and it handled very very well.

Wouldn't have thought you'd be into those Si? Doesn't seem like your usual taste. I don't know anything about the Camaro (the ones above look nice by the way), but I know that anything but the Z06 vettes can't go around a track for toffee with their stone age truck suspensions and subtle as a mallet engineering. I'm yet to see a big yank car that can do corners. Excuse my ignorance if I'm completely wrong! I don't consider them comparable to the Zed, which although certainly not a track car is pretty nimble for its size and weight GT status.

That one you've bought James F looks pretty mental though, gonna be fun no doubt about that.

They are a different kind of car to the Z. It's not something I'd use in the same way as the Z. I don't even drive the Z that hard. I love the looks and noise of the old LT1s. Really raw and can be tuned for very little. Pretty much bullet proof engine too.

As you say my old corvette had the Z06 suspension upgrade but apart from that yes they generally dont go round corners. But for strait line mental fun they cant be beaten lol

The only Camaro I would consider owning, the 1969 SS or RS. Beautiful car and made of pure American steel!

Have got that as a donor then James? LOL!-I take it the 'swap' is out the window then? :D

Great car mate, loadsa fun with that !! :hyper:

Had several Camaros in my time ! :o

Wont be long till you are doing this kinda irresponsible behaviour !! :D
