had oil changed about 3 weeks ago, but noticed the car smokes alot (not when warmed up, its not too bad when warmed up)

i used a halfords oil filiter and 15w 40 oil

the smoke wasnt there before the oil change

is 15w 40 more likely to cause smoke?

my mechanic says some Forte Seal Conditoner should help if its the stem valves but if i was to change the oil to 0W 40 would it help the smoking (considering its thinner oil it shouldnt but who knows)

their is no performance loss whatsoever and the car boosts the same, its just a bit smokey for 10mins or so
