Not alot! I have replaced them in the past and so have other owners and they can still leak

You can get some silicon grease which will almost stop or completely stop the leaks! Press smiley for link > :)

mine are terrible for it, everytime it rains the seat gets soaked!! im assuming this can cause rusting in due course?

Good Advice will try that i have plenty of this stuff @ work

I used gutter sealant on mine. Basically, lifted the rubber seal that goes along the top of the targa opening, cleaned the dirt out with a toothbrush, dried it off, ran a thick bead of gutter sealant along it (don't block the drainage holes!) and pressed the rubber back down.

It's completely stopped the rain entering on the passenger side. It did the same on the driver's side until a couple of weeks ago, when it started dripping again. But I think that's only because I didn't put enough sealant on. A job for me this weekend, but it only takes 5 minutes.

BTW, Fairladygirl, if you want I can do yours for you / show you how. I'm always driving between Leeds & Sheffield, so I presume I pass somewhere near you if you're in South Yorks.

I know I'm only a newbie on here, so I don't mind you bringing mates to make sure I'm not a stalker. :D

Mine used to leak but after taking the targa off a few times then it stopped leaking but there are drain channels around the seal which you can push a wire rod down to clean them out, but if that doesent work look at this on ebay it has 8 hours left http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-300ZX-TARGA-ROOF-LHS-GASKET-SEAL_W0QQitemZ150125772656QQihZ005QQcategoryZ10402QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem another seal might help...

i thought id fixed mine - i used to get loads of water coming out of the top gauge pod. i shoved loads of sealant underneath the rubbers and it fixed it for 6 months but now its started again   ive not even removed the targas since i did it so heaven knows why its suddenly decided to start again

There's a metal window stop at the top of the windows that seems to bend out with age. As it does this the window dosn't sit tight against the rubber seal. So, try bending the metal stop in towards the car and with luck, your window will seal again...

good luck
