Speaking on behalf of ALL Traders YES EVEN SE !! When you guys have finished bitching about who is shite and giving some companys a unjustified reputation, Who are you going to have to work on your cars ? Whispers in the trade tell us that several retail outlets are getting pissed off with some people especialy when the incidence that are refered have never been refered back the the person or company concerned. Never mind not telling the full story about what has actuallt happened. The forum is slowly getting a tarnished image in some areas which is a great pity because it is, when used in the correct manner, an excellent forum. One word to remind yourselves all off before you go blowing your horns again LIBEL !! Think about it guys....lets not ruin the image of a truly awesome car.

Yours

Respect our needs and our zeds will continue to turn up on your forecourt.

Having just read 30 replies to what I personally think was a misguided statement, I feel it is essential (as Nico said) to set the record straight.

Neither I (Peter Rosenberg) nor any member of my staff posted the "Traders Voice". The mention of SE has implied that I did and reading the replies, I can see that many people have drawn the conclusion, that I did.

I hope the anonymous person caused this misunderstanding unintentionally and not maliciously.

To cover the points about the nature of the forum and gaining bad reputations, I can have some sympathy for central theme of the topic - ie are postings always fair?

I can give specific examples of comments above and on other topics, where the facts have been deliberatley distorted. Some people obvously have their own agendas, and damaging SE is one of them.

I certainly do not agree with the tone of the topic, because we value every customer and I have never "given up" on anyone. I hope this is also true of my staff, who take their cue in technical matters and customer service, from me.

If Nico will allow it I will post a new topic tommorrow, in which you can voice your collective observations about my business.

Until then I can assure everyone that the commitment to customer service that I try to provide is unequalled in the UK.

Pete,

I don't know if you can remember working on my car or not. I turned up after having a gearbox rebuild. I have already explained what happened. At the time I did not know what engine knocking sounded like until someone pointed it out to me when I took the car home the same day. It was severe. When I called you I was told that it could take days or weeks to diagnose but what suprised me the most was that you sounded completely disinterested. You are very welcome to call me on 0973 720987 if you disagree with my comments.

I have no hidden agenda and you most certainly have the right to give your side of the story but please don't insult me by suggesting I am a liar and have distorted the facts.

I had already previously posted a message on this forum explaining the problems I have had but I never gave the name of the company.

The introduction of the the 'good/bad experience' forum means that other Z owners wanted to know where these good/bad experiences originated from.

well thats a way to gain new customers peter.

come on the forum and acuse them of lying!!! lol

mate this just shows you how out of touch you are with your clientel.

Take a good long hard look at your staff, and realise they are probably costing you more money than they make you.

Companies are judged by their reputation.

If for any reason any company falls below the expectation of their customers or fails to deliver a service which they have charged for then in my opinion customers have more than a right to voice their grievence.

Companies can be judged also on how they deal with customer complaints which should be a good yardstick for the future on Nico`s forum.

I do not wish to point out any single garage or dealership, but I feel that being a Z owner myself and having spent in excess of 50,000-00 on the bloody thing, I get very upset when I am told of how customers can get treated.

O.K thats my penny`s worth.

Back to buisness. Fuck em!! lol.

Guys you need to check out the 200+ club for upcoming events i.e TRAX 2001 Silverstone.

The customer is always right. But after 15yrs experience in IT solutions (yeh, I'm an old git!) it's also true the customer is often wrong, particularly when the subject involves complex things such as IT systems (or high performance cars). But ultimately, the motto is "the customer's always right, even when (or if) they're wrong".

I don't know who's wrong in these cases, (maybe no-one maybe both) but it seems to me that as Z owners we are not blessed with too many options when it comes to Z specialists (maybe a handful?), and conversely they have only a small customer base to work with. We are therefore very interdependent.

Given that many incl myself have good experiences with SE and others, it's in everyone's interests to resolve any outstanding issues to the benefit of all those in the UK Z community.

Then maybe we can get back to talking about snorting blow off valves and the next 1000bhp upgrade!

Love and peace brothers.

i gather that whoever complains over SE are iether liers or maby just clever enough to realise when they are being taken for a ride.

(i understand that by saying what i just did, i was probably wrong or just telling another fib) lol

Without Prejudice of course.

My findings are when i approached my local Nissan dealer for parts for a 300ZX the person on the end of the phone was miserable and frankly did not want to Know. When i rang Courtesy Nissan USA the guy was very friendly & Helpful. Having had all makes of cars i am sure the same applys but in answer to the traders voice. who pays your wages Ultimately??? But clever move to retain animosity cause a comment like yours is good to get people responding, If it was 1st April

id almost think this was a wind up.
