Im looking to change mine and am looking for some ideas on how to do it please :)

This is what mine looks like at the moment but i dont want to lose the whole boot like I have at the moment and also going to bin the 6x9"s

Im losing a lot of bass through the amount of air under the fake floor so will either put them by the inner wheel linings on a frame or just lower the floor and box them under.

Any pictures would be great :) Thanks a million

Thanks a million everyone :D

Got plenty of ideas to go on so a busy weekend ahead!!!

Cheers again

I like the look of that Filthy Fill!!!..

Liking yours aswell zeegy!!!..

I remember when I had my TT MOT'd, the tester said that if he had been unable to access the lower boot area for inspection, he would have failed the car  He said boot builds need to be easily removable for inspection access

Mind you, he was a bit strict :D

thats rubbish!! the only reason they need to get in the boot is to examine to spare wheel, if you dont have one - it doesnt need to be checked...

same rules apply with front fog lights and spoiler brake lights... if you have them, they have to work... if you dont have them, you cant be tested on them.

Had this debate with my boot light brake light spoiler.... so I taped over the light, and then it passed :D

I think what my MOT tester was referring to, was viewing rust areas/structure integrity.. Not too sure TBH?.. He didn't seem that interested in my spare wheel.. Or maybe he just doesn't like boot builds

zeegy you do need a functioning rear fog light to pass an MOT

Fully agree, zeegy check out the Fog Lamp FAQ in the suggestions section, as it has a link to the rules and regs concerning fog lamps, and if you go further into it ALL the rules and regs!!

But to sum-up, any car manufactured after 1985 and sold in this country HAS to have a working rear fog lamp, this also applies to car imported after a certain date (cant recall exact date) as well, which include ALL Z32's.

AFAIK, spoiler/third brake lamps are not a requirement of the MOT! Although any lamp that is fitted, either by the manufacture or retro-fitted, must be in working order by law!

HTH :D

im an mot tester and im afraid some bits are right and some are wrong the part about getting into the boot is to check for corrosion but a tester is not allowed to remove anything to inspect ie carpet etc you can only use firm pressure to check for galloping tin worm in a prescribed area so if your boot is full of golf clubs etc then you issue a refusal for test which all testers should(but never do) check the vehicle before logging it onto the test and a third brake light is tested if fitted but not a failure if it dosnt work you can only advise it as long as the two outer ones work but it boils down to testers discresion hth :)

Wasn't too sure about that bit (hence the AFAIK :D ) but would this count for retro-fitted aftermarket ones?
