Check this months Official Playstation 2 Magazine for a Free Demo Early Work in progress Demo of GT3 A-spec, It looks the business, sounds and business and plays Ok, i think there are a few handling problems evident altho less so with the Skyline,

 

Think it is Nissan Sklyine, Pagiani Zonda c12 and Porsche 996, with 2 trax.

is the ps2 really that good?

i seem to have have been put of the ps2 and will probably wait for the x-box.

 

Anway what is the generall opinion of guys with the PS2?

 

why wait get em both. nico is it a playable demo or just another watchable one

 

Tooley my man, it is full on 3 car 2 track playable demo matey.

 

Yeah get em both. X box and PS2.

 

PS2 is a bit arse, inaccurate but fast renderer, parrallel architecture, terrible lack of memmory badwidth, we are putting it to pretty good use but i would say that you wont see what it can really do for about another year yet.

 

X - box will look the business straight away as it is very similar to PC systems.

bonus there's something else to beat johnnies ass at. i have to say that i think sony sold us out a little as we were promised 50+ releases within six months of it coming out you watch when the x-box comes out as its pc based they'll romp away. nico whats it like for you guys to program with the psx2

Got a chance to throw a few cars around GT3's Trial Mountain track on the devkits at work a few days ago - I'd echo what Nico said. The cars are beautiful, and its good to see that two Fairlady's are on the provisional rides list. The driving model in the version we had feels the same as in GT2, but that's no bad thing, I reckon.

 

Nico, you're a slave of the games industry too, then? =)
