Well so much for the engine running cooler with the new oil cooler fitted :D My car dumped it's water after a 4 mile drive this morning, fortunately just after pulling up in work's car park! I've had a look round and can't see any damaged hoses  Most of the water is around the battery area, there was a pop as the hose went and lots of steam. The engine temp was marginally higher than normal and it still ran fine on all 6. Any ideas/shared experiences with the cooling system's weak points would be much appreciated as I need to get this baby home tonight.

My rad went bang on me last year and dumped all its water. I only noticed it when the guages indicated a temp rise. I pulled over and checked it out.

The rad has split, I let it cool down a bit then topped it up to get home, watching it all the time. Mind you I was only 1/2 mile from home.

Got a koyo fitted. The motor seemed fine afterwards, prob cos I'd caught it early. Been fine ever since.....til the slushbox went bang

Its a tricky one to say what to do, prob best to get a tow or recovery if the hose has really lost it. The heat build up from having no coolant will kill the motor so best be on the safe side bud...unless you can do a good temp lash up :x:
