I Have Never Really Understood Whether These Blow Off When The Auto Box Passes Through The Gears??? Or Is It Just On Manuals And Am I Right Thinking That They Keep The Turbine In The Turbo Spinning And That Is Irrelevant In An Automatic As They Are Kept Spinning Through The Gears Anyway. Is This Right Or Did I Dream It Lol. At The End Of The Day Is It Worth Me Buying Them For My Auto?

They will only go off when you lift of throttle. Wether its worth it or not is up to you, the only value Dump valves have have is for Showing of, which you can still do by just lifting off.

its just a pointless sound effect on an auto.

on my GTti however, i sheared a few turbos by not fitting a dump valve when running 24psi

it depends what type you go for really i've just fit a single tcc works BOV on tonight and its really loud when you lift off the throttle, HKS is a good 1 for loudness but i just depends what you want.

Is Yours An Auto? And How Difficult Is It To Just Fit The One?

well i was told fitting just 1 would throw the balance out but i aint noticed any difference its getting the standard recircs off that is the problem and yes its an auto there is a thread somewhere on how to take them off i'll see if i can find it for ya

I Will Get Back In Touch With Yer In A Week Or So If You Have No Probs I May Well Do The Same. Cheers

mines an auto and is has a pair of SQV's, sounds good when you lift of throttle at high revs, but with fairly seamless power through the gearchange they are not used...

Looks nice as well!

+ most aftermarket dump valves are cheeper than new recirc's and when I fitted mine I didn't realise I could have got aftermarket Recirc's :headvswal :headvswal

Got used to them now though

i had them fitted when my Z was an auto (pre conversion). yes they work the same, but the only way you can get them to work is by accellerating, then lifting off just before it shifts up so it dumps, and then accellerating again and then allowing it to change. sounds a bit weird to someone who knows whats going on but im sure the boy ricers love it :p

i've got a pair of blitz on mine look nice and yes mines an auto and skyline daves spot on, they do sound pretty
