Took z to my mechanic yesterday and he found that my intercooler had split, managed to fix it so not blowing now, but was talking to another guy lastnite about it and he said that if intercooler blowing or split will blow the turbo..?just wanted to hear your thoughts on the matter thanks guys

the i/c split will in fact give your turbos a much needed rest ;)

no dont believe a stranger like me :D its simple to work out the fact if the boost has a leak then it cant boost therefor the turbos are only on (idle) really, but get it sorted as soon as mate as its gunna drive like a dog.

Ye its sorted now he managed to jam in back together seems its done the trick, and yes was running rough on idle too

i know bud i was being sarcastic ;) yea will run bad on idle as it just sees it as a vacume leak as opposed to a boost leak hth

Ding.

Even the smallest turbo leak will nail engine performance to a dribble so you can just about drive the car home. Well did for me after i crashed it. Slight dink in intercooler and the whole engine went to like 60hp lol. I disconnected the lead from the MAF so it was still bloody awful but barely drivable

Been waiting for your reply. My mechanic managed to jam it back together so not blowing at all now, will that be ok do you think?

No im giving it a miss this year.if you talk nice to paul he may be able to pop into my works and grab them if hes in bristol.
