J.Dixon chip + boost jet's finally fitted....but

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD :nana2: it's like a different car completely. apart from the extra boost it idles and sounds better. Only thing is the auto. it has never bothered me before, but now it seems to be lazy at changing 2-3rd.I'm sure i read the autobox has it's own ecu somewhere and that could be modified somehow to fall in line with the extra power? Boost jets are 1mm and It's boosting at around 12 psi, not crazy stuff I know but safe enough to live with.

Yep the auto box does have its own fault code reader try zcenter wbsite and go into auto transmition section its on there somewhere Same thing happened to my mates. You have to do a series of tests like put in park then drive depress brake pedal... etc Its very clever stuff, anyway his came up with a faulty revolution sensor. Muffin.

*cough* manual conversion *cough*

only when hell freezes over......

i have apexi line pressure controller (piggy back ecu) this keeps hydraulic pressure when changing gears so gear change speed increases! seems to work quite well only down side is that change is slighly harder!

hope thatr helps?

Trouble is if your auto box is on the way out, this is a damn good way to hurry it along ! Seen it, done it ! :(
