Who is he

im seriously wondering about the validity of these petitions if something as pathetic as this is getting put on there.

I was a traffic cop for 20 years and dealt with and photographed many fatal accidents. In those days we were never allowed to take pictures while the bodies were in situ. Obviously things have changed today. As part of the job I used to visit many shows with the Accident Unit and built up quite a display of the mangled car pictures which always aroused tremendous interest. People of all ages were stunned by what they saw. It was up to them whether they looked or not but the general concensus was that the horrific pictures would make them take more care in the future.

I think that the publics quest for more blood and gore is ever rising and is fed by the media who always seem to want to be in first with the shock picture. It appears that this Chief constable has beated them to it on this occasion.

I do not speak in his defence as I feel that he was wrong to show such pictures without the families consent . Nor do I totally agree. with his road policing policies. However his bigger crime would appear to be that he has upstaged the media and done something that they have not yet dared to and is being castigated for it.

He had a blog somwhere, and I remember reading it on one occasion and he said on his days off he likes going out with traffic cops and nicking people for speeding. Nice.

i actually pitty the coont, that he has such an eventful life that he is so devoted to his job and has nothing better to do with his spare time than try and pull the motorist on his days off.

If ever there has been a desperate individual that proves the case for Thai brides, this is obviously the man imho

He visited my place of work this year, damn - I missed my chance :D. His whole approach is wrong IMO. The location of many mobile cameras is simply evidence that safety cannot be a primary concern. We had a recent limit change from 40 down to 30. A camera van was poised for action on the very day of the limit change and it's position was parallel to the 30mph warning sign - nowhere near the junction which had been an accident blackspot. Convicted motorists have since had their convictions quashed because not only were there no speed limit countdown signs erected by the local authority, but they didn't allow motorists sufficient time to get used to the change. His attitude just gets people's backs up. If I drove at a legal 30 mph through my village in the morning I would most likely run someone over by the school, but I don't need "Nanny" there to tell me to slow down. Waste of public money IMO, more people slow down for the LED "reminder" signs which cost far less.

done!
