Thanks andy

What will the conzult read have not used for 2 years?

ie is it say 190 160 etc?

says on diagram 1285 [12.85 13.1] is this the figure [186] @the end i am looking for?

Dave

anything between 140-160 psi per cyl is fine, so if figures are between there then engine shows its in resonable health bud

less than 130 and engine is showing signs of wear

100 or less then its time for a rebuild

Don't follow what the ConZult has to do with this - it doesn't indicate compression.

Anyway, assuming your compression tester is calibrated in psi, then yes, the last figure is the one you're looking for. ie between 186 - 142 psi with no more than a difference of 14 psi between any two cylinders.

Thanks andy

Yes 142(min)-186(max) is what you want your readings to be.

I thought it did!!! cant you do a test when it drops cylinder one by 0ne

the cylinder drop test is to check for misfire.

Oh i see i seemed to remember when i first used the conzult it came up with a figure which a mistook as a compression reading

Nope, you would have seen the number of revs the engine slows down by as each cylinder is dropped. Nowt to do with compression - well not much anyway ...
