well i just got a new batt that has a 720 amp starting current and rate 72 ah, so looks like you still have away to go yet mate!i think the normal batt is about 580?! not sure though.

have a look at the AH rating on your battery , (probably around 50AH)

this is how many amps for how many hours. so if your charger provides 1A then it will take 50 hours to charge

 

 

alternativly, how many amps can your charger supply / did it supply when you first started charging the battery. if it was about 10 amps and it has now dropped to 1A then it is probably fairly well charged.

I think the current going through your batter charger will drop as the battery becomes fully charged.

 

Leave it overnight at least if the battery was flat before.
