Considering going for a proper race-look with my custom arches and riveting them on. Could anyone recommend any race cars for me to take a look at perhaps post some photos up here to help me decide as I'm turning up a blank with Google so far?

Cheers,

Leigh.

Leigh take a look at the original Porsche 911 GT2 and even the original GT3 (You'll see where the Strosek arches were first used) they were all bolted on with Alan bolts.

Dave at dp had a pair of the rear GT2 arches I could have had at one time and toyed with this very Idea. Then I decided NOOOOO. However thats just my humble opinion. Remember it all or nothing. You've started so don't wimp out of it now.

What front end is that

That photo hurts my soul ;) Yeeeees, sort of, although done a lot better with scalloped recesses, with arches that are about 4 times the size of those. Cheers for the pic, I'd forgotten about that one to be honest as it's in my own Z photo file :)

Lol@Mark! ;) Nah, I've come to far to bottle it now :D Steve is no longer working on the project (which is a shame as he'd already come so far with it, but hey....) so, although I've been in touch with another bodyshop I've heard very good things about, they haven't got back to me with a definate yet so I'm starting to think I might grab the bull by the b*ll*cks and finish it myself. It'll take a while longer but hey, I used to be a sculptor and I'm confident in my glassing/mould making (still building that front end! :D) and TBH I need this project to take my mind off other stuff ( ) so, one way or another, it's going to get finished! :D
