needs to cut through the air. way to much turbulance on mine

Legrath is right. The only tried and tested Z32 bumper for what you're suggesting is the custom Jun front end. If your serious about it then the best bet is to get someone to make a copy. I'm building a custom front end myself at the moment and it's definately do-able if you have the time (and the funds if you're not doing it yourself).

Leigh.

Im not thinking of spending more than I need to be honest as Making something like that would cost me well over £2k.

However teh reason I was asking was the Jun car. Although for the life of me I cant work out why someone hasnt made one for sale as I think it looks the nuts anyway

Hi Tara

Tell John thanks, I was looking as a strosec as they seem to be the best so far although im not a lover of the look.

Chris I have no idea if this will help but I have installed OEM lights into my Strosek. Although it isnt finished yet it is well on the way and that should stand the forces of high speed. The only thing i can see that might cause a problem is the fact that the intercooler rad inlets are almost touching the rads and so leave no room for any air to escape? As I said i am not sure about this factor I was thinking of cutting them back a bit to allow any excess air to escape around the sides. But as aerodynamics go it is a good bumper. ......................................

You do realise BTW. 330Kph is 205 Mph and I have the only car that does this.............

So what ya want this for anyway?

You gonna turn ya Z into the fastest thing on wheels or summut?

I think 1 or 2 people know my plans by now. So yes.

Not intreested in improving the 0-60 as its plenty fast enough.

Planning to hit 330kph

Dave, If you can get your hands on a knackered front bumper - I can try and make you a Jun style bumper.

Ive got 1 If you want it PM me, not really knackered just sat around doin nowt!

Actualy I do have a knacked front and was thinking of doing that.

Wana give it a go?

Where the heck did you pull that figure from!? If you use the stock bumper as a base, sure it would cost but nothing like that!

:D

Be careful, that's 20kph faster than you're used to

oops

Paints gona cost 500. then there is testing etc.

But if it's identical to the Jun bumper you won't need to test it, as the design has already proven its suitability to the job?

surely any bumper would be ok for 330kph, i mean there was that sierra cosworth that done 200mph on fifth gear and that just had a satndard bumper (not the most aerodynamic either)

The standard Sierra Cosworth bumper is small and not exactly slab-faced, well built and not made of fibreglass which I think has just as much of a part to play as dynamics.

Deve8uk, Good luck with that mate!!

Only problem is the cars weight will be the main problem.

You could probs lose a sh*t load by stripping it out, but I guess you still want a cosy nice sweet looking ride eh?

I was watching that lotus thing on top gear the other day, just removing the wing mirrors off the esprit did wonders for the aerodynamic drag!!!

Removing stuff like your carpets, all the seats bar yours, part of the dash and console, spare wheel, aircon, all the extra gubbins and sound insulation would make a fair difference!!

Nice nice to look at though stripped out it is

lets just say I shal be removing stuff. Hence why I have not bothered to put a leatehr interior in there.

ABS, HICAS and anything else thats useless will be going by by.

As for teh wing mirrors, they will be removed for the run.

As for the construction of the bumper. The JUN bumper was made out of Carbon adn I can imgine it was a very very strong bit of kit. Most fiberglass kits I have come accross over the years have been very week in areas.

I donot want it parting company at thoes speeds, so it has to be very very strong.

But We have a cunning plan

Chris I have reached 186mph on a GPS and the only thing restricting me was the rear pram handle,I know I can make another 14mph by changing it and increasing my boost :nana2: watch this space;)

That’s right but they do give stability did you see the one where the Stig crashed the Veyron around the circuit so they fitted it with a rear spoiler for more down force?

I saw that, it made me think.
