The job is practically done except wiring, on the old auto brake pedal there is a brown electrical socket on the right hand side, i dont have this on the manual brake pedal.

 

What is this for ? do i need it ??

Eh? There is no switch for that is there? If your foot isn't on the brake when you put it in gear the car drives off LOL

 

You just swap the brake light and cruise switches over (if your car has cruise) and that's it as far as I know.

Nothing else to do.

Yes Chris your right meant to say i think i have to short out the inhibitor switch. Or the car will think its in park/neutral

 

If you look at the 6 pin large Grey plug mounted behind the drivers side headlamp, its one of four plugs for the gearbox loom. There should be two purple wires, short these across and that should by pass the inhibitor switch.

 

I copied this from a search i have done can anyone confirm, this is right

Reverse lights you have to wire seperatly, speedo should be OK.

Or you could do what i did and make a template of the manual brke pedal put it on the auto one and grind it to size.Much easier. :nana2:

All done now except wiring :hyper: & bleed clutch, mot etc etc
