Tips on removing injector connectors?

I'm finally removing my plenum to replace my leaky injector O-ring. However, I'm having real problems getting the metal retaining clips off which hold the injector connectors in place :rolleyes:

 

Anyone got any hints or tips on this? I don't have access to a pair of dental clips (WTF are they?) as detailed in the TT.net how to :tongue:
