Errr my car has been through 2 mots according the history but doesn't have a rear fog.

How can this be if the MOT requires it.

The car is a 90 TT 2+2 JDM. I have also check and there is no switches or anything installed for a rear fog.

I assume I am going to have to fit one but how and where.

My one came with an el-cheapo switch tucked between where the bottom of the speedo console connects to the bit you hit your knee off (if you raise your leg while sat in drivers seat). It doesnt really work well, but one of the reverse lights has been replaced with a red bulb - apparently a 'fog light'....

check the o/s inner reverse light ?

if not press the brakes and if only two bulbs light up then someone has done a fog light conversion !

They are usually wired up to either the rear lights or reverse lights, check for aftermarket wiring.

Although its certainly not uncommon for car to go through Mot's without being properly checked, especially if the owner knows the mot tester
