hi mate well can't say for sure but my tires have been squeeling today my prob is hot rubber and cheap tyres, if there wearing fast is it just on the outside edges, or inside edges or just the inside or the out side edge

not sure at all on this one may just be the hot weather and a soft compound tyre so wear is exsesive

sorry i could not help bud

no its the whole tyre - but i dont drive fast and never wheel spin at all

just tyre scrub - worse on wide rear tyres... if you imagine as the tyre's going round a corner it has to 'rotate' slightly to make the turn as the outside and inside edges have to rotate at the same speed. Vary's between tyre brands - just gone to goodyear's from bridgestones on my company car and it squeals like a pig now! The recent hot weather doesn;t help either!

hmmm i would have thought that with them being wider there is more area in contact with the road, and seeing hows pressure = force/area then with less pressure on the tyre it would last longer. hmmm

Too much or too little pressure can cause tyres to squeel. Too much pressure will also cause them to wear quickly.

Either that or you will have to get a smaller/lighter sub...

can you give us you tyre specs including preasure.

I had this on a BMW, turned out to be the limited slip diff was way to tight (if thats the word) which didnt allow enough slip going round corners. Drifted well though!

The tyre footprint will still be the same whether they are wider or not. Depending on tyre/wheel profile and vehicle weight/load.
