hi peeps

has anyone installed a starter button in their zed

im trying to do mine and it says you should connect these 2 wires to the 2 thickest wires coming out of the ignition barrel.........but in mine i have 6 and there alll the same thickness

they are supposed to go to the starter motor solinoid bit ive looked on the wiring diagrams and to be frank id be better off looking at "how to learn russian" please help me before i blow up the car

( sorry for the non technical jargon )

IIRC for my manual transmission it was the white wire and the black/white one.

 

My switch is shown in the attched pic :) . The small rocker switch disables the starter switch so even if you press it with the engine running it has no effect. :cool:

apache that looks really cool. how hard was it to install?

 

Not too bad :) - you will also need a 30amp relay, a fuse holder, and a coupla metres of 30amp & 5amp cable plus the usual crimp connectors, insulating tape, ty-wraps etc.

 

As my trim was already off it took about 2 hours which included cutting the holes for the switches.

I have a proper HKS kit for sale. It will be in the for sale section very soon.
