Ok this is annoying!!! someone tell me why is this shit happening? as you all may know I am in the search for a Z through different auctions in Japan as Bonsai Japcity, but I want the damn car without thet BACK SPOILER!!!! and all I see is a 99% of Z´s come with that back spoiler, some people may like it but I hate them! and I haven´t sene one without back spoiler for ages now... why is this? I mean whne the Z´s where made originally they all came with back spoilers more than non spoilers??

I had this magzine brought from Japan about Z cars and many of them had no back spoiler so why all the ones in the auctions come with that stupid ugly back spoiler? I got one thing clear I ain´t buying it until I see one with no back spoiler..but I am starting to wonder if it´s ever going to come up!!

FRustrating as hell I tell you

Yes, almost all Zed's had spoiler. Only the NA was available without it, and most chose it as an option.

I agree, its ugly, but Just buy one with a spoiler then get it removed. Its a simple job, costs very little for a bodyshop to do and its what most of us with no spoilers have done. Even those with aftermarket spoilers have had to remove spoiler and get it sprayed before fitting new spoiler.

why dont you just buy one with the spoiler and take it off, thats all everyone else does who dosnt have a spoiler

Edit.. beaten to it

Ok I think this might be the best idea my friends! see the thing is I am letting go some good deals last week I declined to buy this 1998 violet with very low mileage looked stunning! beautiful with grade 4, leather only because it had back spoiler, so..I think I will consider this idea and have it remove by professionals..the thing is..can you please suggest me who could do this for me? without leaving any dents on the car and do a good job? removing the back spoiler?

as you know I live in Spain but most like will be going up to the Uk to pick the car up and while I´m up there I will probably have the spoiler removed, but need some advice and suggestion on who could do this nice and good job?

need some names..also..

what CAT would you guys install? and also where can I get one installed? around the south east where I think I would pick the car up at port,

what about a nice suspension lowe?? wich one would be the best and what is the recommended cm I should drop the suspension down?

and most important where can I get all this done in the UK?

Thank you so much for that idea of removing the back spoiler!

Thanks!

you can get a tail gate skin that replaces the rear spoiler to give the smooth look from the zcentreclick you can get most of the parts you want from the z centre. Difficult to suggest anyone to fit it for you if you dont know where you will be picking the car up from, maybe it will come in at Tilbury? Have you looked in the for sale section on here for cars for sale

i wouldnt install a cat ......i would remove it ....they sap power ..!! and to be honest as far as lowering the car ....i would suggest just live with it as it is for a while before doing any modifications like lowering etc , yes agree they handle better , but stock Zeds with good stock suspension handle very well anyway without making the ride too choppy and harsh ..........good luck with your hunt

steve

OK a spoinler is no big deal and only but the most inept of bosywork garages would stuff it up. You will need some trim from zcenter though (about £50)

The rest, well. Thats down to you. But if your going to modify the car, then by one already modded.

What's the Spanish for tirekicker?

FRustrating as hell I tell you

Can it really bother you that much? Quit worrying about the spoiler and just remove it when you've actually found yourself the nicest tidiest Z you can.

What's the Spanish for tirekicker?

I found this reply so so rude, so what if I ask the same question Gio? you gota a problem with that?! if you don´t like it then don´t look or even replied at the thread ok? there are many nice people who don´t act like smart asses and go inn here saying oh look who we got here same old questions...

that is not nice and tells a very low sadly disrespectful behaviour towards someone who just needs help for Gods akes!!

Yes I did ask maybe the same question sometime back but I didn´t recall that I could find the old posts...is that a crime? or is it enough reason for you to come inn here and make fun of it?

anyhow thank you to all the folks here who helped in this thread..and thank you also to Gio for being sucha nice friendly member willing to help out!

btw, don´t know the name of tirekicker in spanish Bro, since I am not spanish, I just live and work in Spain..my hometown is Baltimore Maryland. so... :duffer:

If you live in Spain why do you want to buy a Jap import as they are right hand drive not left. Surely it would be far better to buy a car from the USA where over 90% of all ZX production went.

You'd have a far wider choice of cars, wider choice of models as some models where made for the US only and you wouldn't be sitting on the wrong side of the car whilst driving in Spain.

Absolutely right, BUT! first of all; US models are impossible to buy from Europe, unless you spend a fortune or any official dealer would bring it for you or they are already based in Europe somewhere, trust me markzx I´ve checked this so much in these past 2 years looking for the Z, most like european models where produced until 1996 that´s when they stoped also in the USA, but they Z went on selling in Japan until 2000, in the european market if you search for any Z wich are not that many compared to UK and Japan obviously you will see that they are very deteriorated, crappy high mileage and expensive..in autoscout24.de or mobile.de they have some but over 250,000kms! from 1991 and asking for more than 14,000euros??!!! that is way on ridiculous!

that´s why I went and considered the option of bringing a jap, in the jap auctions you can get one for 14,000euros but! they are 1 owner and don´t even have some of them 36,000kms! and from 1998 99, so it´s worth it, when I lived in Luton I drove 5 years right hand drive and back in Spain I also had a right hand drive so for me is not a problem as long as I get a nice stunning Z,

the USA option, I quoted with a dealer and customs in spain to bring a Z from the states and you know how much they charge me?

triple the price of the car, just in changing headlights fogs, evertyhing specs!

good thing about UK auctions dealers like Bonsai Japcity etc..is that once the car arrives the Uk they will change the specs and make it for driving like any european car; like the many Uk cars that are driven around Spain Mallorca Ibiza, Costa del sol...

now! if you happen to know any dealer in the Uk that would bring a Z from the states I´ll be more than happy to also check that out.

But bringing it myself is completely a nightmare and a fortune:)

Thanks!!

Yep, many members have made the same point many times but it doesn't seem to register with him.

You said it

Well, if you can't be bothered to use the Search facility or listen to the answers we all gave helpfully before - in some cases over many years, you can't really blame me for thinking "oh no, not again". It is equally "disrespectful" to ask questions and then waste peoples' time by ignoring the answers. You can see, from FunkySi's helpful reply above what the Spanish for tirekicker is, so I won't repeat it.

Since you're a US resident, perhaps you know what a CWOFT is?

Bit of a sweeping statement, that...

if you happen to know any dealer in the Uk that would bring a Z from the states I´ll be more than happy to also check that out.

If you remember your previous life as apple_cinnamon and your posts on the same subject on http://www.zclub.net you might just remember Sean Dezart who could be even more convenient for you as he is on the same continent i.e. France. He has 0 problems whatsoever in bringing in Zs from US.

In fact, bringing in US LHD Zeds to Europe is relatively common as California doesn't suffer from rust as much as good ol' Blighty.

now! if you happen to know any dealer in the Uk that would bring a Z from the states I´ll be more than happy to also check that out.

But bringing it myself is completely a nightmare and a fortune:)

Nend on this forum is based just outside Hamsterdam and imports Late model Zeds into Holland from the states.

He has a really nice 1996 black SWB Zed with a Jun stroker engine at the moment, but He'll wan't more than £5000

While the U.S had a lot more wider choice than us Europeans, they certainly had a much more limited choice than a Japanese import.

Turbo only available as SWB. Slicktop only available as NA ..etc

For a long time that is what I was lead to believe. Mainly info from here this forum. However according to Butch at Courtesy and Bobby at Z1 that was only the case of them being the general models, but TT was available as 2+2 or Slick Top to order.

its as si said but a better one is Pajeiro :xxx:

That's Turkish not Spanish!
