I am fitting 3 gauges to a pillar pod and was wondering rather than making one engine coolant, plumb it into the auto box. Anyone done this?

Cheers John Crisp

Not done it but its a good idea - If you fit an auto box cooler then it will be easier to fit one at that point where the line goes into the cooler box.

Its not a bad idea as an additional gauge...however aftermarket Engine coolant temp is by far the most important gauge!

I've seen so many headgasket failures after overheating because the stock gauge did not warn the driver

Bilky its a uk car so the cooler isnt an afterfit.

Good point David it might be an idea to have 2 coolant gauges, one for engine and one for gearbox. I was just thinking of trying to plumb it into the gearbox just as an additional gauge. I need to get the car into work over a pit and investigate.

Cheers guys John
