Am I right in thinking the colder the air taken in by the air filter the better the engine performs or have i got it wrong.....as usual??

Correct.

Important on a NA.

Not so important on a TT as the air wether hot or cold that gets sucked in by the Induction kit then gets heated up (a lot!) as it travels through the turbos, and then is cooled again as it travels through the Intercoolers before entering the engine.

Ok might seem like a stupid suggestion but I was reading a thread about removing the aircon, why not re route it to the air cleaner area or where the intercoolers are and make use of the cold air...or am I talking bo**ocks?

Im sure if that was possible it would cancel it's own power out because of having to run the A/C wouldn't it??

Dunno mate, its just that the aircon pump is sat there turning all the time so if you dont use it then even canceling out its power would be better than losing power not having it do anything........I assume

it doesn't spin all the time, only when the a/c is on. The engine also sucks in FAR more air than the a/c system can cool down.

Yes. Cool air is more dense than hot air, so when it's cooler, the air mass increases.

More dense means more oxygen molecules per cubic metre - more oxygen, more fuel, more power :D
