Hi

my cruise control is u/s and I've been advised it's probably the cruise control's own ecu which sits under the dash on the drivers side. Anyone breaking a jap spec 92 TT have one going cheap??

cheers

Doubt its that to be honest. Is it auto or manual? Its usually the brake or clutch pedal switches need adjustment ;) If its auto, pull the brake pedal towards with your foot and see if the CC will engage (with manual try with clutch pedal also). These switches are a royal PITA to adjust but not impossible...

Hi Andy

It's auto. I've already tried the pulling the brake pedal towards me thing... no luck there. I've had a well respected auto electrician look at it who pronounced the brake switch (and all the other bits he could test) as working, so he thinks the ecu is most probable cause. If I can get a cheap one to swap out then I will

cheers

Well if you struggle to find one then I have a spare. Has he checked inside the unit for dry joints? ;)

I'm pretty sure he didn't check inside the unit. He is using the logic that everything else he could check worked. How much do you want for yours?

cheers

LMAO :D How does £15 plus postage sound? Should be less than a fiver to post. I'd check inside the unit for dry joints though its so easy ;)
