i had same problem mate in my n/a turned out my crank oil seal was leaking and vomiting oil all over my engine and zorst but could be ya clutch depends on the type of burning smell ( oily or clutchy ) hth matty

its difficult to describe.... it smells like burning paper......like that sweet smell really odd and only at high revs. My zed is an Auto.

pull the auto fluid dipstick m8 and smell it

Mine does this but only when i have a passenger next to me :D

burning clutch tends to smell quite acrid, i know (or knew ;) ) the smell well.

if the guy says a sweet smell we can rule that out :wack: :p

Sounds like auto tranmission fluid. Check the dipstick is not jumping out as it could come out there if its overfilled. Also it could be a sign that the autobox is on its last legs if the trans oil is brown dirty and smelly rather than clear red. Other possibilities are the tailshaft seal allowing fluid to hit the exhausts or leaks in lines to the fluid cooler.

i just been out in my auto tt coz my manual has took a huff with me for opening its brain and refuses to start and i set my brake pads on fire then got stuck in traffic jam now i got a sore throat :cry:
