Hi, been trying to remove the back part of the centre console to fit a new handbrake and gearstick sleeve ( gaitor ) I cant for the life of me work out where the screws are to get it off. I know to lift the radio surround off and access some that way, but after that I'm stuck.. :(

Its in 2 sections. The front part that surrounds the gearstick and has ashtray in and the rear section that consists of the Storage armrest and handbrake surround.

 

There are two screws that you will see after you remove radio surround and one under ashtray. The rest of is clipped in and pulls off. That will remove the front section.

 

Once front section removed, you will see another couple of screws for the back section, and 3 screws under the felt inside the storage armrest compartment.

hi buddy take ashtray out theres a screw in there 2 screws behind the center panal ( the 1 where the stereo is ) 2 screws either side of the front part of the gearstick console 3 screws under the black material in the armrest and 2 either side of the handbrake console screwed into car body ( if memory serves ) hope this is of some help mate

Thanks David, I take it the gear knob lifts off after that as does the gear stick gaitor?

inside the centre compartment theres 3 screws there under the carpet, i think its three. and i think theres a screw underneath the cigerette tray.

gearknob screws off (some unscrew easily, others need a lot of force). The gaitor will then come off with the plastic trim, and its held on with a metal plate from underneath.

pick the car up and shake it until it comes off lol
