hi guys,

When starting up my car from cold, about 30-50% of the time, the car runs a bit lumpy for about 10 seconds, and there is a strong fuel smell from the exhaust at this time:

is this a symptom of fuel pressure regulator/damper problems? could there be something else causing this and/or anything else I should be looking at?

btw, I changed the fuel filter about 5000 miles ago...

Perhaps a leaky injector ??? Bleeds off when the car stops and semi fouls the plug on startup ??? Hence rough idle and fuel smell ???
