Right I'm going to replace my outer hicas balljoints at the weekend,

Are these easy enough to fit for the average tinkerer, or is this a garage job?

Any help or advice most welcomed!

not the smallest of jobs, have to take the hub off and rear brake assy apart

Managed to do mine in place by using a large g clamp and a few smacks with a hammer, dont know if I was just lucky though as expected id have to remove the complete assembly

i welded up a tool to press them out in situ. had to remove the rear strut tho but it worked a beauty. il post pics of it if i remember.

no amount of hammering was gonna push mine out. you cant get a proper swing at it in the wheel arch and because the hub is mounted on rubber bushes there was too much flex to get a good crack at it.

Job done, used a blow torch to heat them up then hammered them out, then replaced them before it could cool down, took about 45 minutes.

Had to remove the wheels only to do the job.

Handling like its supposed to now, yaayy!
