Approached my local Nissan dealer who confirms locking wheel nuts are not produced for this car. Is this right? Wheels are standard on a 93 plate.

After enquiring at a alloys shop he suggested i approach Nissan dealer.

I'm sure I've got some original Nissan ones that I don't need, send me an e-mail with an address and I'll dig them out.

I got a set of Nissan ones from the local dealer Ancasters in S. Croydon. They are generic for most models, and fitted my stock wheels. My good garage/mechanic said they are good ones (they always have trouble working out how they come off and normally phone me - a good sign?), but cost around £34 I think. If you are interested, I think I still have the Nissan part number reference and can post it tonight.

They nuts have a different shape to the standard nuts (flat topped - I think all locking nuts would be different?), but are not obvious being embedded in the wheel fitment recesses.

Bull crap.

The Dealer has no idea what he is talking about.

I have had 2 sets for mine, the current ones are very good as they You really would need a specialist tool to remove them, Not a general whack a oversized Socket on to em with a hammer job.

I got mine from Just Wheels in Nottingham.

Give em a phone they do mail order i think

If you can let me know the part refernce i'd appreciate it. Curious to see what they say and how much they charge?

This is the same place that wanted £70 for a headlight washer jet !!!

Like Simon, I got mine from Halfords, cost about £25.

Part number LN-03

Me too Halfords!

No probs and relatively cheap.

Just to complete the thread (for those interested, and still awake)?

The Nissan Magnetic Locking Wheel Nuts I got were Part Number ND022489985.

They have magnetic caps and need a special adapter (2 supplied with the 4 nuts) to remove a cover. Once the cover is removed, a conventional shaped nut is left - and you then use your standard wheel brace to remove (just like the other standard nuts - no adapter needed for turning the nut).

The invoice shows I was charged £35 without VAT. So slightly expensive (compared to universal ones), but they are Nissan, and appear to be a quality product, and appear to defeat most mechanics.

zzzzzzzz..... Geoff
