Hey all, well after many months of my new seats sitting the spare room along with the extra alcantara material i had to order to get a perfect colour match for retrimming the remaining panels & back seats, i finally got round to stripping them all out and ran them upto Dave up at D2 Trimmers in Ferrybridge, West Yorkshire.

I have to say i think he's done a wicked job  and for a very reasonalbe price too. After about a week they were ready to be collected but i couldn't get up there to collect them, so after handing over the cash to cover it Dave very kindly arranged for a courier to deliver them.

Took me couple of weeks to getting round to fiiting them but finally managed it over the Bank Holiday weekend. I think they absolutely transform the car and am well pleased with the overall finish.

I'd just like to thank Dave once again for his hard work and superb craftsmanship and would recommend him to any of you wanting any retrim work doing just visit http://www.d2trimmers.co.uk

Just got to get round to fitting the new steering wheel & indiglow dials this wkd.

Here's a few before and after pictures

Are these the ppl you are talking about?

Seams like a very good price, and you say if you ask, they can supply the matirial for the rest of the pannels? how much extra did they charge you and how much extra material did you get?

Cheers

Neil

Yep that's them ;) It's £175 for the seats to be delivered but DO NOT make the mistake i did and order the so called 'universal' subframes for an extra £50 :mac1: absolutely pile of sh**, about as much use as a chocolate teapot

The extra material to match the same colour as the seats you buy if i remember rightly is £10 per 2m x 1m sheet and he charges a £10 for delivery regardless of many sheets you order. I think i ordered 3 Blue and 1 Black and i've still got loads of blue left although hardly any balck, check with Dave and he'll tell you how you need.

HTH :)

Wow spot on, i might order some.

JJP how did you fix these in place?

are they comfortable and can you slide them forwards/backwards and up/down?

Also racing harnesses is there a way of fitting them without loosing access to the rear seats?

I had to have some folded mild steel brackets made up to run along along the bottom of the seats and then four corner ones to bolt to them to bring the mounting hole widths in line with the those on the original rails. - if you wanted some making up i'm sure i could get them done for ya.

They are very comfortable & hold u in place when going sideways :D and are of excellent quality (i was very surprised myself for the sort of money) i bolted on my original sliders so yes forward/backwards motion still kept and managed to keep electric motion on drivers side although not the reclining or up&down mechanism - but you don't really need them IMO.

As for the racing harnesses i have no idea i am still using my original belts at the mo, i may look at fitting harnesses next winter....

Hope all that helps

Cool, they sound ideal then.

The electric buttons for the seat do they sit fluch with the seat as they do on the stock ones in other words do the blend in and not look out of place?

Do you know the weight of the seats....or how hte weight compares to the stock seats ?

EDIT : Nevermind, I see the weight on ebay. 13kg....thats about half the weight of the stock electric seats :D
