Anyone with conzult in the west mids area that would mind checking out my car?

I'm occasionally getting a miss-fire and juddering below 2.5krpm also not boosting properly, as soon as I hit 3krpm its fine and the car accelerates as normal.

My air filter fell apart when trying to clean it the other week and i've just purchased an apexi power intake from dta which i'll be fitting today.

It's almost as if not enough fuel is being injected at that point.

Could it be a faulty maf? If the maf was to be the problem, wouldnt it happen all the time? Dirty injectors?

Last night I got a little scared as I heard a kind of knocking sound which appeared to come from my engine...heard it whilst driving inside the cabin.

I'm not entirely sure whether it was suspension or an engine noise, this was just going up my road and I got onto the drive and just switched off as I was far too hung over to be sorting anything out yesterday.

Any ideas?

Do you have a postcode for zworx to see how far they are away?

Do you think my problem would show up on conzult? Any idea what the problem may be?

le67 3ja is the centre of Coalville, but the garage is in the nearby countyside. a conZult might well pick something up, but it sounds like you need someone who knows what theyre doing to look and listen to it. give Mickey from ZWorX a bell - http://www.zworx.co.uk/

have you done an ECU check to see if you have any codes come up? Might be worth doing that first then we might be able to help.

Could it be an o2 sensor? Seems to be ok when the car is warmed up

if it is it will show up on an ECU check, you can do the check yourself in half hour

Right, it's coming up with 55 which is no malfunction found and when I do a o2 sensor check the left check doesn't flash at all ever. The right o2 sensor check flashes 5 times every 10 seconds which I beleive is normal...

So it's looking like my left o2 sensor is shafted. Is it an easy job to do myself? How much are they? I'm still waiting on Nissan Telford to give me a ring back with a price but I rang zedworld and they quoted £100 for the sensors and £20 fitting.

The last 2 I bought were about £98 so £100 + £20 to fit I think is pretty good as they would be a real bitch to fit unless you have a 4 or 2 poster

2 for £100? or £100 each?

Apparently the one which has gone is the easy one to get to and I don't think it is required to put on a ramp. Is there 4? 2 on the top by the inlet mani and 2 below?

O2 sensors are about £100 each. sorry i cant really help with fitting - Mickey replaced one of mine a couple of months ago as it was lazy and not responding fast enough to changes.

Will a faulty o2 sensor affect overall performance?

I've noticed that if the juddering starts to happen I simply hold the revs in say 2nd gear at around 3krpm for about 1-2 minutes and it "warms" up and the issue doesn't occur.

I was supposed to be getting my car r/r'd this week but not sure what to do now with a faulty o2 sensor.

02 sensers dont work properly untill the engine is at the correct operating temp, and when the engine is cold the engine runs rich, which fails up the 02 sensers, i would check the ECU temp sender on the metal water pipes that go into the engine if this is faulty or clogged up with the green shit it will send the wrong signal to the ECU which will map the engine to run rich if it thinks its not at full operating temp, and as i said if the engine is rich it will foul up the 02 senser, so check the yellow ECU temp sender first

Turned out to be a split pipe for the egr. Zedworld sorted it and is working fine now
