is it possible to use red hammerite on the throttle cover cos i'm bored of lookin at the gold one, its just for a bit of a change really but i dont wanna spend a fortune on a chrome one :)

Yes you could as long as it will withstand the temp in the engine bay !

;) smithy got some nice bling ones check them out makes a big difference to engine bay imo

i sprayed my throttle cover a year ago and the paint is fine. i just used normal halfords paint.

I spray them with normal car paint. Goes really well with smithys Stainless steel strip badge.

I have got a gold and a red one... cant decide which one to have with my newish hard pipes which have red sleeves :) If i choose the red one will be respraying it as its a bit grubby, will be using plain old car spray ;)

cheers guys i might do it the same colour as the (gun metal grey) cos i have some paint left from when i smoothed the boot lid.
