Has anyone on here had any probs with mounting the P.T.U where the carbon canister is? Plan on removing the canister and putting the P.T.U down there but a bit worried about it getting wet or overheating or something. Cheers Steve.

not the best place, would stay cool, but wet would be an issue, iv seen people switch it to the other side of the engine bay! or if you extend the wireing fit it under the nosepanel

Do you think it would be ok if i made a mount with a slash guard at front and bottom or would it the overheat??

best thing for you to do is buy a series 2 ptu there hasent been any reported problems with them and you could then leave it in the original place.

Don't have any probs with it, just want to move it out of sight to clean up the look of the engine bay.

Anyone think this will be ok or is it a case of try and see?
