i read that they are introducing it to help save lives, how many bikers are killed because of flat out speed??? just more of the nanny state wanting complete control if you ask me.

I have got a GSF650 K6 now mate. I couldn't get on with the GSXR. a fantastic little bike but a bit too low on the bars for me. But I got the 650 Bandit brand new last OCT to commuteon and its a fine little machine. Not very fast but comfortable and it handles well. Its got ABS too... :D

I have had 3 GSXRs and love them but know what you mean about the bars, for commuting the GSF should be spot on. :bow:

They said on the news tonight that its because some bloke was tracked by a helicopter doing 110 MPH on his bike. He got nicked and now they want to limit bikes????? I sleep at 110 MPH. :rofl: anything to get more money out of us?

They have been saying this for a while, it was in MSN about 3 months ago, the main argument against it is that they want to limit it by GPS to each speed limit, ie 30 40 50 60 and 70, and that if you enter a corner at say 75, itll cut the power, and as anyone will know killing the power on a bike half way round a corner is NOT a good idea, infact it will cause so many accidents it will bite them so hard on the arse not even a good plastic surgeon would be able to sort them out!

 

Oh and on the speed thing, look at my location on my profile, thats on my daily 37 mile hack to work on my beast, the fireblade!

OK ....boy's ...i know they say this and say that .......but a working systerm they DON'T have .....

 

and ...the gps sh1t will only start with NEW bike's...... :D ...

 

So i would like to see them track a "" 1978 z650 "".......

 

Or any "" STREET FIGHTER ""....made from 6/7 bike's .... :rofl:

 

the only way is to Add the chip to the MOT test....and that will take F**KING year's.....i hope .. :shock:

If they put limiters on bikes everyone would go back to cars and that would not be good for their green plans.

It won't ever happen but it's just annoying that they will probably spend a couple of million investigating it :xxx:

 

I seriously think parliament should be moved north into the real world instead of people who sit on the tube and in traffic jams all day making transport decisions :mac1:

I agree totally with that and it hadn't occured to me about the green thing. Move parliment up north..............Yep! you could definately do a better job with it up there. :D Where though? Lets have a vote North (EAST) or (WEST) or (MIDDLE)????? :rofl:
