Chaps and Chapettes

Im completely stumped and dont know WTF is going on.

Ive just done a plug and and oil change. Its now only running on 2 cylinders, cyclinders 1 and 2 arnt running.

Now this is what ive tried, ive put the old plugs back in, runs the same. Ive done a spark test with all 4 new and old, and they all spark well with that lovely white/blue spark.

Its not a coil as 1 and 2 are different coil packs. The firing order is correct as i did 1 plug change at a time.

Im pretty certain that its getting fuel as the plugs are wet. Ive done nothing to compremise the compression of the motor as ive only done a plug change and there in at the correct tightness.

IM WELL AND TRUELY STUMPED!!!

ideas please

not missed washer thing off the plug have you? Might not be sealing the hole

What year Blade is it?

Maybe you've knocked something while you were doing the work. IIRC you'd have to have the tank and airbox off to change plugs...?

Could be a lose/trapped vaccum hose or electrical connector maybe?

its a 97 RRV. Yeah the tank does have to come off. I m starting to think its fuel not spark, theyre all sparking ok, im sure the firing order is ok. Im sure theyre sealing ok, they all have the washers on. Im sure its something silly that a fresh set of eyes would pick up on

It's carbed then, not FI.

I'd be looking for a kinked / blocked fuel or vacuum pipe then I guess...?

Are all the pipes correct on the fuel tap?

Sorry can't be more help.

I did exactly the same and for some odd reason I mixed the caps round the wrong way (1 on 2 and vice versa). I know you said that you did them one at a time, but you never know, and it's worth a try.

Also if it's the carbed version (think it is) drain the float bowls as it could be just some crap in them fuel system and this may help clear it.

Yep, i reckon float bowls too. My dads CBR6FW needs attention, over the winter 2 float bowls dried out and the supply needle stuck closed. we fixed that but now the pilot jets are blocked by crap and debris on those 2 cylinders :mac1: we will need to strip and clean them again now

rode one, didnt like it. Suzukis have a very "plasticy feel" to them, cant beat Honda build quality!

Oh and i sorted it, it was a bad connection to the coils after i had moved them to get an air guide panel out. Runs like a beaut now! any one want a race?!?
