i just had this exact kit arrive yesterday,i'll let you know how it goes once fitted,so far looks a bit messy with the welds but pretty strong to be fair, came with all instructions and piping etc.

Paul.

that is just waaaaay too cheap  and free delivery too. looks like two side-mounts stuck together. let us know how you get on Paul.

Does An FMIC kit get rid of the pipes that the recircs kit on? Sorry i know it sounds like a daft question.

When I first seen this kit I thought the exact same, about the two side mounts stuck together, however...

It not a bad idea. My front mount has two horizontal cores, so the boost is passing by each other on their way to the opposite sides of the engine.

If this kit is merely two side mounts, at least they are a lot bigger, and depending on front bumper choice, should allow more airflow.

We'll find out when we fit Paul's.

Although I like the way frount mounts look,as do most people, I don't think you are gaining anything by putting one on a zed. You are just cutting off cool air to the radiator which is arguably more important, especially on an older zed. The bigger side mounts will work for as high bhp as just about anyone has on this forum, and they will still give better air flow to the radiator. A much better investment would be to get bigger side mounts and perhaps a large race type radiator?
