I'm in the process of replacing the headgaskets, but just can't seem to get the head off i've undone the 8 headbolts, but the head won't budge? there are 2 what seem to be bolts inbetween the 2 cams do these need to be removed? or is it something else i'm missing?

8 bolts and it comes off.

 

Its on two dowels as well.

 

Give it a little tap with a drift one end, probably just stuck on the gaskets, mine was.

there is also a small 10mm bolt on the back of the head have a look bud

Let's hope nutter is not in there beating the crap out of his head trying to get it off - when he still has some bolts to take off!

managed to get it off with an old part of a roll cage, just need to find time to put it back together now so i can finally drive the thing after i brought it in December
