First I am sorry to any Muslims on here, but I feel this is the last straw. It’s an offence to my heritage, my nation and my identity as an Englishman.

OK 1st I rarely take objection to many things and try and see the other side of the story, but this just boils my blood. I have never been so seething.

Ken Livingston is planning on building a Mosque, ok no big deal, fair enough.

It’s going to cost £100 Million of tax payers money, Be the largest landmark in London outshining St Paul’s and every other Landmark in the capital.

I bloody object. £100 Million builds hospitals, schools, things we need and the Londoners are desperate for. London maybe full of Immigrants, but that’s another debate, this is about our national identity individual, religious and historical. This is a Christian Country, I don’t go to church etc, but I align with the identity of our Christian laws and culture. I am not along there is a poll on it so if you feel as I do then please vote no or can someone shoot Livingston the aszhole.

Ken Livingston, you are pissing on my forefathers and I hope you get what’s due, you scum sucking low life ****

can we not have john prescots ugly fooking mug on that flag please

Unfortunatly England as a country does not exist anymore we have lost our identity unlike Scotland and Wales (no offence to the Welsh and Scotish) who are allowed to call themselves Welsh and Scotish and are proud to say what they are and proud to fly their flags and why shouldnt they if they are proud to say it. So why cant we fly our flag and call our selves English, what makes us different? The bloody do gooders and polititions say we cant thats why incase we offend, thats the trouble to scared to offend so we are forced to give up our identity our culture etc to keep these people happy, well thats clearly not working, they still want to blow us up. Before i get hammered again i'd like to say i'm not against people having their religeons they are intitled to their beliefs, but why should i give up my identity. Im ENGLISH but wish i was proud to say it, i want to be allowed to fly my flag and be proud to fly it and to celibrate St Georges day our Patron Saint, but he wasnt English either, says it all really.

BLAIR doesnt give a s*it about england. he has scottish roots and thats why they have their own identity and are looked after better than we are. ie pensioners not having to sell their homes to pay for care etc etc. CHERIE poxy blair is top legal aid lawyer for asylum seekers so she is making a mint for the blair retirement fund . then sh*thead brown as P.M whos also scottish so no change for a very long time for england, the dustbin of the world. maybe its time for the B.N.P. a bit extreme but the closest to what we need. oh dear im in trouble with you lot now.

As it happens it isn't the union jack anyway. It's the cross of Saint George.

The only way to get the country back on its feet after these lilly livered labour lot is all turn out and vote.

The only problem with that is who do you vote for?

The lilly livered conservatives are no better.

As for voting for the BNP well surely that is a no starter. I'm sure if we all go back far enough we will find that have non ethnic blood in us so we would all have to leave the country.

UKIP would bring the country to its knees financially as would the greens liberals etc.

So urge you all to go out and vote for the raving loony party because at least the coountry would go down with a great hangover.

Het people get out there and vote even if you spoil your paper. If you want to vote then make sure it is not for the guy that is currrently your MP. This way at least we won't have the same bunch of :xxx: running the country and we might get some new ideas.

Darrell

vote for me, i would abolish speed cameras, no speed limit on motorways. ban tax on fags and ale and make the idle gits in the world get a job so our income tax wouldnt be so high!

If your current MP is a Labour MP that is..........

........if your current MP is not a Labour MP then voting for him/her will still contribute to ridding us of this useless government.......;)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

doh, i should know better really shouldnt I? :o

If your current MP is a Labour MP that is..........

But the current MP's can still in theory vote against the policies.

Perhaps they would do there jobs a lot better if they thought they would be voted out.

Just my opinion.

Darrell

wont be any uprising typical Victorian English stiff upper lip attitude, lay down and take whats thrown at us, people are scared of their own shadow in this pox hole. BNP will never get in they have no real polices, and if you did have an uprising they would turn the army out on us

i am certainly no lover of blair and some of his anticts

but being old enough to remember thatcher and the tory goverment

that brought the country to it's knees, I DREAD them getting back in

i assume most on here are now working, something under a tory goverment

was unheard of

interest rates rocketed and house reposessions went through the roof

she doubled the vat rate, doubling the unemployed, it went from one million

to approx 5 million

we lost the coal industry, all mines being shut, and we now import it,

18 million people refused to pay the "poll tax"

ask scotland and wales how she destroyed ALL their industries, for those

who DON'T remember thatcher and the tories go and ask your parents,

if they survived the poverty:(

she destroyed the steel industry, destroyed britains ship building industry.

How many of you now own your own house (or more than one)have a car, ?? lol again would have been unheard of,

under thatcher, you may think your hard up, but what do you spend on cars/toys etc

again you wouldn't have had that option, thousands have left Britain and still do every year

BUT you don't do that unless you can afford to, the idea of a family holiday under the tories

was a week in blackpool, just look back at some of your own posts on this forum and see

when you have posted "i've spent this, or im going on this holiday, or buying this house/car"

how many of you have 2-3 cars?

a good night out under thatcher was a riot in brixton/handsworth etc

under thatcher familes were receiving food parcels

how many industries were privatised? don't forget these companies belonged to YOU

the british people, so if you as a part owner sell something you expect some benefit,

coal mines were closed and privatised, higher fuel and heating costs,

public transport was privatised, how often would you travel on a bus/train now?

i can come up with loads more examples of industries we no longer have:(

the yuppie culture was built in the thatcher era, the boys in the city who live on our misery

and now make millions by having OUR cash, ie overnight banking/transfers of your money etc etc

how many of you are sat in front of your EXPENSIVE pc's, watching your plasma tvs

with this and that console plugged into it, bored with having the same food for tea

BUT having the option to have a change, how many of you can honestly say your skint

and i mean skint, ie have to borrow £10 to feed the family, or to get your electric on?

as thats what it was like for thousands and thousands of genuine families under her and the tories

i don't mean the stay on benefits as long as i live brigade, lol how many of you remember milk at

school, cos she took that as well

you think blair was the first pm in the usa's pocket, maggie was so far up regans arse

i reckon she was an extra in all his cowboy films, again im no lover of being taxed at every move

but moan like **** and pay it, under the tories we COULDN'T have paid it, and you would have gone to jail for

not paying the poll tax, how many of you are bringing your kids up thinking i'd like to give them everything

you never had, and a standard of living you never had, WHY?

yes blair is a twat, but one of the most frightening things is something thatcher said not so long ago

"we don't want to beat blair, we need someone like HIM"!!

lol we could end up with Anne widdlecombe (shit thats scarey)

when labour won the election it was one of the biggest majorities in our history,

and one of the biggest government majorities since the war. WHY?? it wasnt just 'cos people wanted

a change, you think your shafted now? under the tories you may have turned gay, the amount of times

they had you bent over!!

pensioners on the majority are now getting some freebies, and don't forget these are your grand

parents and your parents, pensioners were dying under the tories of lack of heating and food

and frightened to switch stuff on (i grant you they are frightened to venture out after dark now)

it wasn't all sweetest and light under the previous labour goverment, and we need an alternative

to blair, the grass isn't always greener and from what i remember under the tories, there WAS NO GRASS

but if your expecting a better standard of living under the tories i suggest you

MOVE NOW!!

the above is my views and im sure most will have their own different ways of looking at things

nope im not a die hard labour voter, just a never never ever again, do i want to return to

THOSE days, like those words we hear every November 11th WE WILL REMEMBER THEM

not sure where you heard about the funding m8?

but it AINT gonna happen, this story is actually many months old

maybe a year even, and as much as a twat livingstone is, he would be lucky to last 24 hours if he offered one penny of tax payers money for this,

i maybe wrong but i don't think councils are allowed to use tax payers money for any kind of religious building, even St Pauls cathedral i don't think uses ANY kind of goverment/council cash, even when bombed in the war it was rebuilt using donations, when you get your council tax breakdown you will never see a church etc on there, so can't see this being any exception,

and from all that iv'e read its VERY doubtful the planners will let them do it anyway

that was what i thought?

deve8 have you read extensively on this subject?

What makes life interesting is that we all have different views........

.........and so far no-one has voiced the case for the Tories, so it may as well be me ;)

Sure, the first few years of Maggie's tenure at No 10 did produce such casualties but they were necessary IMO to stop wasting public money on loss making industries that were making Britain the Lame Duck of the world. Let's not forget all these once great industries (including the railways) were built with PRIVATE money from wealthy magnates (the Richard Bransons of the 18th/19th centuries) and then grabbed by a Labour government and nationalized. Also was it not this government who went ahead with privatizing the rail networks.....?

Maggie encouraged home ownership and made it possible for more people to own their own houses, crushed union power that crippled the country and turned the economy round to what it is today - don't forget Gordon Brown was fortunate to inherit the strong economy from the last government and, by and large, has continued with similar monetary policy to keep it that way.

Maggie was (as Blair) elected 3 times in a row and whilst her majorities may not have been as high as Blair's second win, more of the electorate turned out to vote for her. It was throughout the 1980s (after her second victory) where standards here vastly improved, where the working classes began to see their lives change for the better and where the foundations for everything people take for granted (like the cars, holidays etc Billy mentions above) were lain.

I think we need another Maggie Thatcher today; to brutalize criminals, stand up to tin-pot despots in banana republic countries, stop further immigration and re-gain all sovereignty this government has handed over to Europe.

Just my humble opinion, of course :D

i would hate to think my post was a case FOR labour lol

deffo one against the tories as i remember them, yep she allowed home ownership, but go check the amount of repossesions in that period m8

that election in the 80s was also just after the falklands war if i remember

and without it i think everyone agrees she would have been out on her ear

yep she crushed the unions (who were taking the piss) but all this did was hand power to the bosses and enabled them to do what they want to employees, a couple of recent examples, the firm who sacked all their workers by text, barclaycard told their employees they were moving most of their workforce to call centres abroad, all within a day:(

wasnt it edward heath a tory who took us into europe?

and british rail was privatized by john major m8;)

as i say no way is my original post in support of labour, just a case of study your standard of living now, and decide if its worth keeping, and if as many you decide no, then move abroad, as i said many can afford to now make those choices, MY memories under the tories were not many had that option;)

What makes life interesting is that we all have different views........

ime 46 and CAN remember thatcher but how much i agree with billynomates and can tell you its about 99% i still think we need a thatcher type of leader, someone whos not affraid to upsett when its right, someone who dont laugh at jokes when there not funny, and someone who autually had a few moons under there belt and seen a bit of life instead of these fvkin factory made polititions like the tories are pushing forward at the moment :mac1: politics at this present time is like going into the hall of mirrors, the same fvking head but with diffrent shaped bodies :headvswal :headvswal :headvswal

......wasnt it edward heath a tory who took us into europe?

and british rail was privatized by john major m8;)

I agree about Heath - but I was only 3 so I wouldn't have cared less at the time:p And Maggie did try to (conveniently ;) ) forget that by opposing European legislation throughout her time as PM :nono:

As for the Railways - I did pose it as a question because it was so long ago now, that I thought it may have been one of John Major's ideas that his government didn't get to do, so was later implemented by New Labour upon ascension to office.....(a bit like the Dome :nelson: :nono: ).

I think a lot of our opinions of that time depend on where we were, both in our lives and locations. I entered my teens just after the Falklands and had just started showing interest in current affairs. Then I started work in 1986 (at 16), right at the heart of the whole "Yuppie" explosion. I changed my mind about A levels and university, took a chance with my first job and made the most of the opportunity, hence I have a positive view from back then. However I do also realise that others may not......

.......Plus I've been brought up as a filthy capitalist, share buying Tory ;)

My wife thinks my political views are [only] slightly to the right of Atilla the Hun :D

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

That is so right - politics now is just like a "Pop Idol" contest whereby the "contestants" are judged on their appearance and crowd pleasing ability; instead of principles (whether right or wrong, at least they should have the integrity to stand by something they believe in  ).

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I was working on the Railways during Maggies reign and also when the industry went over from BR to railtrack and even still now as it went from RT to Network rail. I know all about having the industry you work in and in some cases love, taken from under your feet. Everyone knew exactly what was about to happen when Maggy won the votes. It was a woman for christs sake and a strong one at that. I remember when Regan spoke out against the British armed forces for the military responce in Argentina. She more or less told him to Fook off and butt out. Scargill had no chance against her in fact no one did and that almost put the GREAT back in Great Britian again.

Tony Blair is a nancy boy he has no bottle. This country does need another Maggy. Yes some people did suffer for a while during the 80's but it was short lived. We can no longer claim to be a leader of countries as long as we have a government that could lead a dog on a walk in the park. I have no objection to sharing my country with people from other places but hey! please remember it is still my country too. I have a Grandson and Grandaughter now and I really fear for their safety in the future. WHY? Because not only is the country filling up and overflowing with foriegners not just that though, quite a number of them are criminals. Some have come from war torn environments and wouldnt give a toss if they had to kill you. That is my grievance. We are becoming the minority in our own country and to be honest who on earth can blame me for not liking that?

Tony Blair is a nancy boy he has no bottle.

lol, two days after our boys were kidnapped in Iraqi waters Blair comes on TV and says what has been done to them is "Unjustified" and "Wrong". cheers mate!

Im old enought to remember the 3 day week

Unions bringing the country to a stand still

The labour government giving us crippling debt

The concervatives handinga country with no debt back to the labor government, who now have us back in debt.

I remember being proud to be British during teh concervatives and being ashamed to be british under labor.

I remember other presidents fearing our PM, and regularly being put in their place.

But this thread wasnt about that, it was about a mosque, livingston, london etc.

And yes my information is correct vin, its on thier website, its on current affairs, routers and being debated on more than a few churches, which is where I got this from as the fella who sent it is a devout christian ( as he works for the church).

I remember all those things too. The 3 day week all while Ted heath (the fooking culprit) was out sailing on he's Yacht somewhere in the sunshine. He used to run the bloody country from that boat.

I didnt question you BTW mate about your source of information?

I can see why its gone a bit off subject......Its the lead up to why we are in such a state. How we have become a halfway house for anyone who wants to get Viagra for nothing. somewhere people can come to claim for disabilities that dont exsist. A sanctuary for the needy. :hurl:

soz mate think i got the wrong person. but cant be bothered to go back.

Think there should be a poll about if your happy with teh countries future.
