hi guys!

i cant decide wether to buy optima yellow top or red top? :confused:

my zed is a weekrnd toy so is often sat for a few weeks, i also have high power sound system that i would sometimes like to have running with car off without going flat!

i have red top already which i was told was better for my situation but optima web-site says the opposite???

any help gratefully recieved!

Ello bud .. if you have a high powered audio system i wouldnt use 1 battery id suggest an external alternator regulator split charged onto a 2nd battery for audio purposes only the reason behind external alternator regulators is that an alternator alone wont fully charge your battery .. it will charge it to 70% max this is useless as u will be putting to much cyclic duty on the battery ... hope this helps

I've run yellow tops for over ten years and nevr had any problems with them.

But it's always good to go with two and a good quality split charger is a must. In the early days I just ran them on a relay switch but it will pop out the fueses if you work it hard.
