was bored and was doing some reading on here, apparantly a lot of the zeds are running in safety mode without people knowing

also read that cars with seperate boost valves/controllers dont get knocked into safety mode (also has been chipped)

can anyone confirm this before i do an ecu check, i cant see how my car can be because it feels scary when thrashed

It's true it's common to be in safety mode and not know it.

With a boost controller the boost solenoids are disconnected so in safety mode the boost isn't lowered but the ignition is still retared giving a performance drop.

So even with a boost controller you will get the ECU showing a safety mode error but might not notice it much in driving.

if you have an aftermarket guage it'll tell you if your in safety....IIRC when booting if you find your readings topping out at 7psi you're in safety :)
