Suspension/Brake probs I think???

Can anyone helpme with this problem, not sure what the problem is but when i release the brake pedel I'm getting what i can only desribe as a "clonk" coming from the off side fornt suspension area!!! has anyone come across this before, if so can you let me know what i need to do, also i'm find my braking power pretty poor, i'm having to put alot of pressure on the break pedal to get the car to stop, is this common the pads and disks are standard so is it just a case of uprating or am i looking at something else??? I have only had the car a week now, so I am a relative novice when it comes to this car. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Cheers

Hi mate

Loose pads? Hypothesising...

You should'nt need to apply shed load of pressure on the peddle to get the car to stop.If your travelling at 100mph+ (ie spanking tarmac - 6500 ever gear...) and stamp on the brake peddle, yes the bite is a little 'glassy' at full tilt, (the driver should adjust to this and drive accordingly) but normal driving the car should stop on a dime.

Get that car to a garage asap and get it checked out.

Stock brakes and pads work well...ABS kicks in on mine when pushed really hard.

I have no issue with them (Some on here may disagree) as it is a road car and should be driven as such.

I changed front disks and pads on mine when i bought the car, cost me a little over 300 quid from Nissan main.

You may be able to get it cheeper through the traders section here.

All the bes m8.

First check your wheel nuts are tight........ then check area around where the noise is for loose or defective parts
