I've just placed an order with Autopia Car Care in the States (http://www.autopia-carcare.com) for the machine that I've been after for a while.

It's called the Porter Cable 7424 :-

So, basically this means I can now take my detailing hobby to the next level, and do full on paint correction and swirl removal. :hyper:

Naturally, my Z will be the first to benefit from the treatment :D , but as it's white it won't actually show off the machines/my abilities as well as a darker colour. So, in the not too distant future, and in time for a couple of shows, I will be picking on a couple of the local lads to 'borrow' their cars to de-swirl.

I know some of you will think I'm mad, or I've got an OCD or something, but I can't wait!! FunkySi will understand ;) :)

Um, no!! I know I should but I've been granted access to my credit card to order the PC, and ONLY the PC

I don't wanna upset 'management', you wouldn't wanna upset my Mrs at the best of times, but she's 7 and a half months pregnant at the moment too  :D

Nice one.

You can do mine if you want.

Will bring it up for the weekend and you can fill your boots.

With the amount of local lads that were chatting to me about it yesterday, my boots are full!!

When I get well practiced, and get some insurance just in case, I may well offer services to all members :)

It doesn't need a respray mate, trust me ;)

Oh, and you were my first choice anyway as your purple will really show the differences well :)

I've got one of these - absolutely brilliant piece of kit. So much so that I'm selling these with my Meguiar's stuff - coming in April.

Make sure you get a 750mA transformer - anything less isn't acceptable for this polisher.

Just don,t go too mad Peach keep away from the edges of panels cos you can polish right through the paint if you over do it :headvswal

A few years ago we had a valeter at work who owned a 2.8 Capri , he was obsessed with the thing , cleaned and polished it that much the paint went trasparent :headvswal ended up having a respray !! :x:

Thanks for the heads-up mate :)

I'll probably only get to do correction on mine once, what with all the Mids lot queuing up for a de-swirl :D

It needs a miracle! :D ;)

Nice one mate.

I've been speaking to a few people in the detailing world and it sounds like a growing industry and a good one to be in if that's your aim.

A bet you'll be a dab hand with that machine. The polisher gets a polisher. lol

mine needs doing too

Ive been looking at importing the exact same model.

If you want a black zed to try....... ;)
