Have just had Ollie do my pods LED mod, does anyone know off hand if the bulb under the auto selector display could be changed for an LED ? if so any idea which type of LED needed ?

Its a standard 501 capless bulb same as the dash bulbs.

What colour did you go for? any pictures yet?

Dash bulbs blue, and pod bulbs as in Ollies pictures, I already had white dials and aqua numbers, well pleased with the results. Sorry no photos of mine I,m a bit of a tecnophobe with these things, only just mastered the computer LOL .

I know what you mean, I have a few extra blue LEDs coming if you want some (pressed the wrong button when I ordered them, also a technophobe) :x:

There is just one under there, might be an idea to take it apart and clean it up in there, they get coated inside with a layer of black soot and shine up a lot better once cleaned, if you only need one then I will send it FOC as an early Chrimbo pressie once they get here.

Thats good to know that it's a 501, i've been asked before and I couldn't answer as I have a Manual. I bet its a tad involved to get to though!

Not too bad, remove centre panel, undo screws that hold in gear shift surround and pull it up a bit to gain access, no need to remove completely just remember not to pull it hard too hard, 16 year old plastic goes brittle, the part with 12DNRP on is help on by 4 screws but no need to remove if just replacing the bulb and if I remember correctly the bulb is in the top right hand corner, standard twist in fitting.

bottom right hand corner, just put mine back together ;)
