Aha I hear you there.

and bearing in mind some people on here are dislexic, so pointing out that people cant spell is getting at them

ps. and its dyslexic with a y ;)

pps. im one and im not bothered at all :hyper:

Lights blue touchpaper and stands back (suppose there's a smiley thing for that). If you're dyslexic your dyslexic. I'm just constantly surprised by the spelling standards on internet forums. Not trying to upset anyone, in fact there is a pretty good argument for 'who cares how it's spelt as long as you are understood'. Just wondered what everyones else opinion was.

we have had this so many times, and it always ends up the same, with a thread been deleted and someone moaning where has my thread gone blah blah blah lol

Personally I think the bad spelling is down to poor tryping skills and people not taking a moment to read what they've tryped before submitting it. :D

Still, as has already been pointed out, the site is for people interested in cars and not grammar, spelling, punctuation ,etc

Someone have a beer for me please - I am still at work and will be until 11pm

Never underestimate the healing power of custard.

I simply cann't spell lol

What does D.N.A stand for...........National Dyslexia Association. PMSL

Bad spellers of the world untie

Seriously though, if someone has a medical condition that influences their spelling then fair enough. I think that they are in the minority here and the rest of us just need to check our posts carefully. Perhaps a spell check in word or something before they are put up would help.

I do think that an outsider looking in would assume that there are some real dummies on here judging by some of the efforts.

Just my opinion of course.

Cheers.

No, the general standard of spelling is dropping. The number of times I've had mates asking me how to spell some of the most basic words amazes me  If you have a reason thats perfectly fine. To be honest, although it is often possible to make out what someone has written, it takes several re-reads before you can understand it fully - this means it takes at least twice as long to read it and I get bored very easily so will tend to skip that post :D Far too much SMS text speak too - this really does my head in  If you can't be arsed to write a proper sentence then don't bother writing it at all... It doesn't take a minute to read over what you've written before posting it either ;)

All IMHO of course ;) :D

There's always the good 'ole' edit button, I've been introduced to him many a time :D :D

Yeah but that actually involves people re-reading what they've written - why not just do that in the first place?

Some of us touch type and don't even look at what we are typing or the screen as we are doing other times as well ;)

And thats exactly my point!!! Who the **** taught you to touch type? They need to find another job   ;) ;) ;) It doesn't take a second to read what you've written before hitting the submit button - c'mon, you have to look at the screen to click the button so its not that difficult to also re-read your post ;)

PS It would also help if you actually used the correct words - "doing other times as well" ???? You have a tardis?

Oh I do, and I suffer from the dreaded Dyslexia sydrome, so will often read it only to see what it should say and not what it might say
