went to a job today, was a reported leaky tap, so we set off this morn got to the job and went in, luckily just a new washer needed not the end of the world, done the job and packed up

 

now the bit that pisses me off is as we were lifting dustsheets and tools back into the van, the stoopid woman ask's "oh while you are here, could you check my toilet, it aint flushing oh and my heating keeps going off"

 

FFS :headvswal why couldnt she just say what she wanted before we set off, we dont keep all the gear we would need in the van, most of the equipment is kept in the lock up (otherwise we wouldnt be able to get in the van lol) so i had to go back to the lock up for more gear

 

now i know she will moan about the bill when it goes in because she spoke the immortal words "how much do i owe you" (whilst holding a tenner lol)

 

why dont people just explain themselves, do they think the bill will be cheaper as the initial job was just a tap washer and the rest was done just cause we were there lol, made me late for all other appointments :headvswal

PMSL, old people always have more to do than they tell you, not realising we have schedule's to keep to

due to a balls up with my previous company (who closed down 17million in the red) and contract with ryanair, we were paying them to fix their aircraft!

 

so imagine going into a garage for a major amount of work on your car and it coming out pristine just like new, then they give you a handful of cash!

It's just the same in IT.

You get a call about e-mail not working or something and when you get there it's like:

Oh and it crashes in Word and Excel

and it sometimes reboots

and it won't switch on in the morning

and it happens on that other PC too

and quite often the server goes off, is that anything to do with it?

 

Before long your 5 minute visit has become a days work!

shes still warm alright!, she called dyno rod and got me so yep shes still warm :D

the thing that pi55es me off is ungrateful gits, good thing is i dont get many, but one was a hotel that had water coming through the ceiling and called me out after hours as an emergency i traveled 10 miles. fixed the leak (replacing 2 meters of pipe) was there about 1 hour draining down, fixing and filling back up and charged £40, he said it was too much and said i was there only an hour and should have charged my hourly rate WTF. thing is he has just phoned me up asking me to do more work for him guess what i told him :D
